Purchasing & Inventory Co-ordinator for a large organisation based in Balcatta
This large services company has a permanent requirement for a Procurement & Inventory Co-ordinator to join their Balcatta-based team.
Key Accountabilities include but not limited to:
- Issue enquiries/requests for quotes to existing, approved suppliers.
- Submit a request to source to the Supply Chain Category Management Team for new product categories/suppliers.
- Manage submissions to Supply Chain Category Management for requests to onboard new suppliers.
- Manage submissions to Supply Chain Category Management for requests to add One-Time Vendors.
- Expediting of stock to site.
- Evaluate requests to add new items into inventory holdings through close collaboration with Catalogue Administrator.
- Manage and process invoicing queries sent by Accounts Payable Team.
- Support Team Lead with relevant information required for reporting.
- Collect and report statistics to measure supplier performance.
- Analyse current purchasing activities and recommend improvement through more efficient purchasing methods, quantity discounts, standardisation and value analysis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation on all solicitations, responses, purchases, correspondence and follow-ups.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computing skills.
