This position is with Hexagon’s Mining division, a global technology leader, solution provider for surface and underground mine challenges, with proven technologies for planning, operations and safety.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for the accurate and timely purchasing, receipting and dispatch of products and equipment for Hexagon Mining Australian operations whilst ensuring that facilities are maintained to a high standard at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely entry of customer orders in SAP
- Provide accurate and timely purchasing of goods in SAP and liaise with suppliers regarding order statuses, etc.
- Provide purchasing weekly reports from SAP
- Provide accurate and timely receipting of goods in SAP
- Maintain and provide accurate and timely tracking details for outgoing shipments to internal and external customers
- Provide Logistics Support to warehouse and complete accurate and timely booking of freight with multiple carriers both Domestic and International.
- Provide Admin Support to Repair Team as required
- Maintain stock, courier and stores transaction records on a variety of systems, both electronic and manual
- Participation in stock takes and audits as required
- Ensure services provided are customer focused and of a consistently high quality
- Maintain adequate levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to fulfil the duties of this role
- Compliance with Hexagon Mining Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself / herself and the safety of others; and
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum experience of five years in a similar role
- Proficiency in using MS Office and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Experience with warehouse management systems and processes
- Excellent communication skills, both with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated purchasing experience.
- Demonstrated administrative experience relevant to stores management
- Previous experience with Freight bookings, both Domestic and International
- High level attention to detail; and
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current drivers licence
- Operational or supply chain related certifications (desirable but not essential)
- Experience in the mining industry
- Knowledge of quality control and organizational best practices
- Background in logistics and inventory administration
- Ability to analyze data and implement system and process improvement
