Daikin Australia is looking for a strategic Purchasing Manager to join our Manufacturing team based in Chipping Norton, NSW. This position will be overseeing our Purchasing team regarding our sourcing, ordering and delivery of goods to meet our Daikin manufacturing requirements.
Reporting to our General Manager of Manufacturing, our vision for this role will heavily focus on the strategic planning & execution of activities across the purchasing team, parts supply team and supporting of the manufacturing raw material warehouse.
The essence of success in this role will also be collaborating with their peers to create and execute long-term strategic plans, demonstrating our group philosophy of thinking locally but acting globally.
About you
- Well-demonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills & develop purchasing strategies.
- Ability to manage individuals, team and budgets including the planning work and establishing appropriate priorities.
- Previous experience and knowledge in the field of international procurement, customs and import regulations, material costing and/or high-volume production will be essential to the success of this role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP Procurement and/or MRP Modules (Similar to ERP System) will be highly advantageous.
- Open to frequent travel interstate & internationally
