Bard Engineering Group is a well-established Australian company that has serviced the Australian and international mining and support industry for over 30 years.
We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to take on our purchasing role. The primary objective of the Purchasing Officer is to undertake the procurement of assigned goods and services, including correspondence with suppliers and intercompany stakeholders. The role is critical in order to ensure that relevant information is gathered and the correct parts are supplied accordingly.
The key responsibilities of this role will include: (but not limited to)
- Maintain purchase requisitions and orders for inventory items and workshop works.
- Ensure all purchase orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items to ensure that all items are delivered to the site on time.
- Have strong communication skills, with an ability to think outside the box.
- Advise work teams of order status.
- Expedite parts according to project delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Inventory control and workshop maintenance
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure materials, equipment, and services provided are the best value.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of supply processes.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure pricing is continually up to date.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Previous exposure to logistics, procurement, and supply chain environments.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised and punctual.
- A positive attitude, self-motivated and passionate.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, particularly with Excel.
- Manual Drivers Licence
