Purchasing officer and Executive Assistant to Medical Director

Care Fertility is a rapidly growing boutique fertility unit, committed to excellence, offering assisted reproductive technology services in a warm and friendly environment from Greenslopes Private Hospital, Brisbane.

We are seeking a part-time Purchasing Officer and Executive Assistant to the Medical Director to join our family-friendly team. 

Core duties:

• Coordinate the purchase of goods and services for the business
• Receive purchasing requirements, organise quotes, coordinate approvals and place orders;
• Liaise with staff, suppliers and related third parties to ensure quality and timely delivery;
• Maintain accurate purchasing, shipping and receiving records;
• Perform batch processing and bank reconciliations and work cooperatively with company bookkeeper
• Monitoring  email communication and responding if required.
• Preparing and receiving communications on behalf of the Medical Director.
• Assisting in preparation for accreditation
• Assisting in organising and planning medical and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Attend multidisciplinary administrative meetings when required
• Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, scientific and administrative staff.

The successful person will have:

• Thorough understanding of purchasing, bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable;
• Hands-on experience with accounting purchasing software (such as Reckon);
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Great attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to prioritise tasks and competing demands;
• Able to work unsupervised;
• Be a team player.
