About The Role Are you passionate about the Purchase to Pay process, vendor management, and cost optimisation?
We have an opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team. Reporting directly to the Senior Procurement Systems Specialist, this role will have exposure to a broad range of Purchase to Pay (PTP) functions for selected corporate/mine/operating sites. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Perth, working Monday through Friday.
Occasional site travel may be required. Key elements of the role include: Obtaining the best total value for Iluka in all external sourcing purchasing activities Timely processing of goods and services requisitions Monitoring and ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods and services Qualifying and processing new vendor applications Negotiating cost savings on non-contract spend to assist in achieving team cost-saving targets Expedite and track overdue materials and critical spare orders to improve delivery times Review of stock re-order recommendations to determine accurate order and stock holding levels Ensuring compliance with Procurement Policy in the purchasing function Engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders to build mutually beneficial relationships Providing training and support to site personnel in purchasing tools General housekeeping and administration tasks on PTP systems
About You To be successful for this role, you will have: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SAP PTP or ERP system Experience in aspects of materials and dealing with suppliers related to the resources sector Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a passion for problem solving Builds appropriate, constructive, and effective business relationships throughout the organisation; uses diplomacy and tact; is approachable; communicates clearly, accurately, and consistently both verbally and in written matters
