In this role, you will be responsible for approving purchase requisitions and ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials to meet both internal and external client requirements. Purpose of Role:
- Approve purchase requisitions for inventory and business purchases within the delegated limit.
- Ensure all goods and materials are expedited within the required project and operation time frames to meet client requirements.

Role Competencies:
- Background experience in inventory/purchasing.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of overseas freight & customs regulations and legislation.
Key Result Areas and Responsibilities:
1. Safety, Health, and Environment:
- Ensure work is conducted in compliance with the MAINETEC Safety and Health Management Plan, the Environmental Management Plan, and the Quality Management System.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses involving yourself or others.
2. Procurement:
- Procurement Management:
- Oversee the management of all company purchase orders to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of goods and materials.
- Ensure supplier selection aligns with Mainetec Procurement Policy to improve purchasing efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Raise purchase requisitions and action purchase orders for direct purchases as needed.
- Support planning and operations with purchasing activities to achieve DIFOT targets.
- Update the purchasing system daily to reflect actual revised purchase status and arrival.
- Respond to client expediting queries within the requested timeframes.
- Manage all internal domestic and international expediting by running and actioning expediting reports twice weekly.
- Maintain procurement paperwork in line with internal standards, client standards, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Monitor and update procurement policies in consultation with stakeholders and update procedures and policies within the company quality framework as required.
