The Role:
Based at Acacia Ridge, our Purchasing Officer is responsible for the quality driven purchasing administration for our Rural division.
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Reviewing & auditing customer and supplier claims
- Entering and checking a high volume of agency consignment orders & reconciliations
- Validating supplier pricing & terms, and ensuring accuracy of payments
- Updating & maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 with supplier details & raising purchase orders.
- Collaborating with accounts payable team to ensure payments are on-time.
- Submitting purchase orders in onto Supplier Online Portals accurately
- Monitoring freight movements, costs related to purchase orders & ensuring effective delivery.
- Evaluating cost effective options and methods of operation
- Ad hoc duties supporting the Procurement Manager as required.
To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Prior experience in purchasing and/or logistics with end-to-end payment & purchase order processing experience.
- An understanding of contracts, terms & conditions
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics / Dynamics 365 highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- Ability to prioritise competing objectives
- Superior customer service skills with a positive and friendly demeanour
