Santrev is Australia's leading builder of specialist chicken sheds with projects across Australia building for iconic brands. Santrev is seeking an Purchasing Officer to join our team, based in our Bundamba Head Office.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, the ideal candidate must possess similar experience in procurement and inventory/assets management or extensive administration skills with great time management skills.
Key tasks include:
- Assist in negotiations with suppliers over price and resolve issues relating to capacity, supply, quality & service.
- Administrate and deliver the day to day purchasing function by obtaining quotes and placing orders with suppliers for goods and services
- Assist in freight handling including sourcing quotes, selection, and implementation.
- Data entry of all purchasing transactions into account system.
- Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods.
- Conduct ongoing enhancement and development of Purchasing operational efficiency and control.
- Review invoice queries and ensure invoices in question match the relevant purchase order.
- Collaboration and briefing project management staff on delivery timelines
- Liaising with project managers and supervisors
- Delivery checking and partial supply tracking
- Assist Operations team by organizing freight of machines and equipment between sites to ensure construction can commence.
All about you:
- Prior experience working in a busy environment as a Purchasing Officer preferred or extensive administration experience and willing to learn.
- Display a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and Ms-Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
This role is offered on a full time basis, with working hours of 7.30am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7.30am to 1pm on Fridays.
