SalaryOur client is a global leader in the design, engineering, development and marketing of performance vehicles. We are looking for an experienced purchasing project coordinator to join in the growing company.
Initial 12 months likely to extend or convert to perm.
Your primary functions are:
- Develop and maintain and understanding of the Direct Material Commodity assigned, to understand the Supply Base, Cost Drivers, and Risks.
- Work collaboratively with the Engineering & Program Management Team to understand & execute new sourcing requirements for future model programs.
- Ensure key stakeholders (specifically suppliers) are adhering to key Purchasing milestones throughout the complete sourcing process.
- Manage and process Purchase Orders for Tooling, Development, Prototype Components, Adhoc Consumable and ancillary items.
- Develop, negotiate and execute Supply Agreements for supply of goods and services sourced.
- Maintain the supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Act as the escalation point for all supplier related issues (payment, quality, delivery, etc.).
- Updating and maintaining the Procurement sourcing report.
- Support and execute cost reductions ideas, projects and strategies
- Support purchasing process improvements and department development
- Support organisation in indirect material procurement projects as required
- Support quality and process improvement activities
- Uphold database management for commercial and sourcing related activities.
- Bachelor qualification in engineer, business or related field
- three years plus relevant project purchasing experience
- understanding of product development process
- Stakeholder management experience
