ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a part-time QA who can connect the dots between our Development Team and deployment of stable version releases to our end-users. The QA will be responsible for the testing and quality assurance for all software changes prior to new version releases.
Working closely with the Development Team, the QA will help set the design and technical requirements for each sprint, ensuring the development cycle is sufficiently planned, documented, and tested prior to a version release. The role is required to accurately document test results, log defects, and report results to management. The candidate will also be required to assist in post-deployment troubleshooting and problem solving if and when necessary.
Finally, the QA will need to then use their intimate knowledge of the platform to create highly detailed and intelligible help guides to add to our knowledge base archives which are provided to the end-user.
QUALITIES & SKILLS YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a QA Tester.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, Jira, Confluence, Test Rails.
- Acute eye for detail, making sure subtle changes don’t go unnoticed and are tested thoroughly and methodically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to document comprehensive knowledge based articles.
- The software product is an engineering design system. As such, an engineering interest and an affinity for numbers will be a great asset.
