We’re hiring for a full-time Quality Assurance System Compliance Officer to join our team at our 40-hectare primary processing site in Cannon Hill.
The Role
You will be reporting to the Senior Quality Assurance Supervisor - your key duties will include the following:
- Planning, coordinating and conducting GMPs and other internal audits to ensure product quality and safety is adhered to;
- Reviewing compliance for product quality, Approved arrangement and Market access requirements;
- Conducting room assessments pre and post production to make sure conditions will maintain the quality of products, and oversee the manufacturing process;
- Conducting swabs, gathering samples, performing hygiene checks and keeping records of assessments;
- Monitoring all critical and quality control points within the production lines for all products being manufactured.
- Assisting with reports on provision of food safety & quality performance based on workplace monitoring and verification;
- Educating and training operators with respect to changes to product, processes, new food safety and quality systems and corrective action for food safety and quality procedures;
- Liaising with production and warehousing staff to ensure quality issues are addressed and preventative actions are followed;
- Collecting, updating and reviewing statutory, regulatory, food safety, quality and customer performance information based on workplace assessment; and
- Maintaining records of quality assurance checks.

Base salary from $70,000 per annum + super.

About you
- You must be reliable, physically fit and willing to work as part of a team.
- 2 years’ relevant experience within a red meat processing environment.
- Undergraduate degree in Agriculture or Food science.
