About the Assignment
The QA/QC Coordinator - E&I Inspector will work closely with the DLNG LE integrated team and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) installation contractor counterparts in a “One Team” collaborative environment whilst independently verifying that project technical and contract quality requirements are being met.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and used to working in remote locations.
Darwin based preferred, FIFO will be considered 3/4 roster
The main scopes of work are installation of new electrical equipment and modifications to existing electrical equipment.
The Project consists of a total plant outage whilst several projects are run in parallel. These Projects are predominately;
- Brownfields Installation Mechanical and Piping Packages
- Obsolescence I/E packages
- Darwin Pipeline Duplication and Carbon Capture and Storage
- Fabric Maintenance
Tasks include:
- Quality oversight of construction activities undertaken by Darwin LNG Life Extension (DLE) Electrical and Instrument (E&I) Contractors.
- Review and provide input into the Contractor Inspection and Test Plans.
- Perform Inspections as detailed in the Inspection and Test Plans. Witness ‘W’ and Hold ‘H’ points.
- Conduct routine quality surveillances of activities, including reporting and tracking all action items to closure – maintain the surveillance program.
- Monitor progressive compilation of Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) in line with approved MDR index and review the associated documentation.
- Oversight of E&I contractors Non-conformance report (NCRs), ensure timely disposition agreement. Raise client NCRs as required.
- Support the team expectations around Operational Excellence (OE) and the Safety Quality Leadership Team (SQLT).
About You
Essential experience required for this position includes:
- Significant years of experience dealing with E & I activities on major construction Oil and Gas projects with a level of trade certification, or college diploma acceptable to Company.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge and proven ability in E&I installation techniques with a good understanding Electrical Equipment Hazardous Area (EEHA) Inspection process to AS67009.
- A thorough knowledge of working with AS3000 and related codes and standards as applicable to the Northern Territory related to E&I installation.
- Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil and gas construction projects.
- Experience with assisting the resolution of quality issues, through engagement with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
- Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Experience of working on LNG projects.
- Candidate shall display confidence in representing the Client when interfacing with Contractors.
