About the Joint Venture
UGL | Altrad have been awarded a contract for Brownfields Onshore Implementation Services for Woodside. Services to be provided include the detailed planning and execution of access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation, mechanical, pipe-spool equipment replacement and electrical services.
About the role
Working onsite of a major oil and gas project, on a 2:2 roster from Perth, the role of QA/QC Lead is responsible for providing direction and support to project teams, implementing and maintaining Quality Management Plans, and promptly addressing any non-conformances. Additionally, you will oversee site quality procedures, conduct audits, and provide guidance to site personnel.
Your day-today responsibilities to include;
- Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, provide suitable resources for the effective management of the quality management system established for the Contract
- Maintain overall responsibility to ensure that all inspections, testing and verification activities are effectively completed
- Ensure all non-conformance are reported and corrective action implemented effectively
- Monitor and provide resolution to the disposition of non-conformance reports (NCR) and corrective action requests (CAR) to ensure agreed dates are met
- Develop internal and Subcontractor quality audit programmes
- Monitor the compilation and submission of MDR’s
- Review and implement procedures and systems of work that are relevant to site.
About you
- Oil and Gas industry experience including 5 years in QA/QC as well as holding NACE certification
- Contemporary and leading-edge knowledge and expertise of Quality management (strategic and operational) practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of the group
- Sound knowledge of Quality legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the group
- Engineering background or previous experience in working in an engineering or contracting environment is essential.
- Strong leadership and seasoned people management skills.
