Responsibilities
We require a skilled, motivated and experienced Operations and Warehouse Manager to join an established company that is making waves.
The ideal candidate should show initiative and will be responsible for:
Operations Aspect:
- Scheduling of Transport
- Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules
- Loading/Unloading of Trailers (when and as required)
- Facilitating inbound/outbound of local & interstate freight overlooking the overall Queensland Operations. Coordinate with the team and internal departments to meet delivery requirements and expectations.
- Complete regular run analyses and manage driver performance.
- Driving operational change that will continuously improve service levels to customers on delivery of freight
- Manage the daily operational needs of linehaul sub-contractor providers
- Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports
- Coordinating activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading and unloading of Trucks.
Warehouse Aspect:
- Manage your time and resources to ensure the pick and pack operation meets targets
- Sound knowledge and experience with dispatch Operations and/or warehousing
- Organising container unpack/packs
- Experience in using Forklift for placing goods in racks in particular High Reach
- Receiving orders and bookings
- WMS Processes
- Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality and safe to do so.
- Managing the costs for carriage and profitability
- Collaborating with other state managers
Overall:
- Leading daily operations, including driver allocations, order picking, packing, dispatching and container unpack/packs.
- Providing efficient Customer service & follow up
- Monitoring compliance to statutory, legislative and licensing requirements including OH&S, Fatigue Management
- Maintaining a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of operations
- Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality and safe to do so.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations along with Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
- Develop KPIs and daily strategies with team members and monitor individual performance.

- Working hours: 6am to 4pm.
- Availability hours: 6am to 6pm

Qualifications
- Transport Industry Management experience 2+ years
- Warehouse Industry Management experience 2+ years
- Forklift Licence / LF with 2 or more years’ experience
- Have experience unloading PUD fleet with general and oversized freight
- Experience loading linehaul units
- Sound knowledge of legal weight distribution
- Knowledge of load restraint
