Your role
MAX Build is currently recruiting a qualified Bricklayer to join our growing team.
Supported by our Masonry Team Lead, this is a great opportunity for an experienced brickworker to take the next step in their career, developing management skills, as they will be responsible for supervising small teams in our specialist masonry division.
Your daily tasks
- Preparation of sites and work areas ahead of masonry tasks
- Plan bricklaying daily activities on site in consultation with the foreman and completing bricklaying work to the highest standard possible
- Supervising junior team members and apprentices - delegating tasks, supporting them with difficult/ new tasks and overseeing quality of work.
Your new company
You will be working for an established, privately owned and growing head contractor who are multi-faceted across the Remedial, Multi-Residential and Commercial sectors.
MAX Build find solutions to remedial challenges, servicing major remediation projects, high-rise facade maintenance and refurbishment works, and building adaptations and upgrades.
Projects are across Sydney but primarily in Sydney's east and lower north shore. The office is based in Potts Point.
MAX Build is an approved visa sponsor, open to sponsoring qualified candidates following successful completion of a probationary period.
The successful person will have:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
- Remedial experience is advantageous, but we welcome applications from all Qualified Bricklayers
Certifications:
- Valid White Card
- Cert III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying or equivalent
- Valid driving licence
Other:
- Strong English language skills and comprehension
- Ability to travel to sites across Sydney Metro, Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore
- Good attention to detail and an ability to work as part of a team
