We are a dynamic wholesale meat business in Moorabbin and are looking for a butcher and a knife hand with good experience in the meat industry to join our team. Our company supplies leading Victorian restaurants and catering companies with fresh meat and smallgoods. We take great pride in the quality of our products and services. We also prepare orders for home delivery to the retail market.
The position:
- Monday to Friday
- 4.00am-Midday
- prepare meat for customers' orders
- break down carcasses of different type of animals into primary and secondary cuts
- prepare meat orders to customer's specifications
- all aspects of general butchery and smallgoods making is required
- processing meat using knives, cleavers, saws and other equipment preparing cuts for weighing, packing or further processing
- ensuring work areas are clean and compliant with all food safety and hygiene standards
The candidate:
- must be reliable
- must be a team player
- must be willing to learn
- experience in portion cutting would be an advantage.
- must have own transport
- must be a Qualified Butcher with minimum 5 years experience
