Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical components, safety codes, and regulations, along with advanced diagnostic and problem-solving Responsibilities:Perform maintenance on a range of high-voltage electrical infrastructure and equipment. Conduct electrical breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and system checks as per the preventative maintenance schedule.
Diagnose and troubleshoot potential defects or hazards effectively. Install and commission power distribution equipment. Interpret construction plans and various diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical systems and devices, providing repairs and maintenance as required.
Plan the purchase of all materials, parts, and components required for task completion. Maintain records of work details such as labour, materials, and equipment used during installations and maintenance. Proactively apply improvements in workshop safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Ensure compliance with all WHS duties and responsibilities, including policies, procedures, and practices, as well as hazard and incident reporting. Requirements:Current driver's license. Construction Induction, White Card.
Working at Heights certification. Forklift License. Extensive knowledge of electrical components and electrical safety codes and regulations.
Professional judgment and confident decision-making in relation to work duties. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external partners. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other professionals.
A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to deal with competing priorities with minimum supervision. Excellent time management skills. This position will require the successful candidate to be available for standby and call-out duties on a roster.
Additionally, there will be some travel requirements to certain job sites.
