About the RoleThe Quality and Education Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Quality and Compliance and is tasked with driving ongoing improvement in the organisation. The focus is on in-person learning and development to oversee LHG's specialised training program.The goal is to enhance skills, boost motivation, and promote excellence within the workforce. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Quality Team to create and deliver custom training modules based on industry best practices, trends, audit findings, and project needs. The coordinator will also oversee: - Providing guidance on documentation and record-keeping to ensure that care and services meet desired outcomes. Identifying and addressing areas of concern for employees that may require additional training. Coordinating regular monthly audits of residential care facilities and analysing the collected data. About YouTo be successful in this role you need to have extensive experience in Quality and Compliance with a strong clinical background to excel in this role. A Registered Health Practitioner with a current AHPRA (i.e. Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse or Allied health Professional) practicing certificate and an enquiring mind will support your success as our Quality and Compliance Coordinator.Sound knowledge base relating to the Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care Act, The Quality Care Principles and Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes is a must.Knowledge of and experience in Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes and accreditation requirements. Previous experience in education, project management, proven leadership, and effective time management and problem-solving skills. Well-developed interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal. Includes the ability to deal with consumer and staff information confidentially and with sensitivity; presentation techniques and report writing.Demonstrated ability to implement and evaluate education within a community, aged care, or acute health care setting. The ability to work as part of a team and assist in the development of the team. Capability to work with minimal supervision and to work autonomously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Intermediate skills with Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring obtaining a current NDIS worker clearance.
