Location – Regis State Office, Fremantle WA

Role Type – Part Time (work days Thurs & Fri), 12 Month Contract 

We are seeking a Quality & Improvement Manager to provide temporary support to our Homes in WA.

As the Quality & Improvement Manager, you are ensuring effective quality systems are maintained and monitored for compliance against Regis polices and processes, governing legislation and regulations as applicable to the Aged Care Accreditation standards and Home Care Common Standards as applicable and with the improvement focus. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Providing support to Management team within the Homes to achieve compliance and expected results of Regis Quality processes and practices;

Review resident information both clinical and business in line with policy and process and any underpinning legislative requirements;

Ensuring quality documentation systems are complied with, and that processes are followed by all stakeholders when improvements are implemented or required;

Audit and contribute to achievement of compliance with the company serious risk / high risk regulatory compliance processes;

Ensure consistent compliance with Regis system for complaints management;

Assist in the identification, response and analysis of serious incidents, including mandatory reporting requirements; coroners information gathering and preparation of resolution reports;

Support the management team at the residential Aged Care Homes for external regulator reviews/ audits relevant to Aged Care and communicate any improvement activities that may be required

About you

Background in Health care (essential); Aged Care (desirable)

Extensive experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years management experience or a similar role in Aged Care or similar discipline

Solid understanding of the application of the legislation governing Aged Care Operations.

Strong interpersonal skills supported by effective listening, observation and facilitation skills to effectively assess a situation and respond appropriately

Investigation and report writing experience

High level of computer literacy

Very high level of attention to detail, problem solving and analytic writing skills;

Lead auditor qualifications or Quality Aged Care Assessor qualifications (advantageous);

Customer focused and committed to person centred care;

Demonstrated knowledge of a computerised care management systems (Autumn Care advantageous), and the suite of Microsoft programs;

Regis Mandatory Requirements

Evidence that you have received the following vaccinations 

     o    Seasonal influenza (2023)

     o    COVID Vaccines including Booster or medical evidence to Regis’ satisfaction of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination

Valid NDIS Workers screening check
