Backbone Steel is our steel framing business, providing high quality steel framing solutions to the Summit Homes Group and external clients. With a busy production and assembly line, our factory in Myaree is a high-volume steel framing producer.
We are currently looking for a Quality and Innovation Manager to collaborate with detailing, drafting, engineering and construction to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with detailing, drafting, engineering and construction to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
- QA liaison between site and the factory
- Lead regular forums for feedback and problem solving.
- Lead the development of new products
- Liaise with engineering, suppliers and construction to develop and deliver innovative building solutions in line with the groups priorities
- Contribute to factory and office continuous improvement projects
About you:
- A background in Steel Frame Detailing, Residential Construction, Drafting or Engineering
- Ability to lead and manage a team;
- Understanding of residential construction methods;
- Healthy and Safety focused;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively liaise with all stakeholders of the business;
- Team player that gets along well with colleagues and can built rapport;
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and time frame requirements of the business
