Do you have a passion for ensuring products meet the highest standards? Well, buckle up, because The Reject Shop is on the lookout for a Quality and Product Compliance Coordinator to join our dynamic team!
This is a 12-month MAT Leave position supporting the Quality & Product Compliance Manager.
The Role:
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of TRS’ QA processes and system.
- Work with suppliers to ensure they are aware of the Australian compliance requirements when proposing new products to the buying team.
- Review products in accordance with agreed QA processes and systems.
- Maintain technical compliance folders.
- Product checklists updated as legislation and standards change.
- Benchmarking new products against the market with the buyer to determine the product is similar to our competitor or better than the market.
- Non-compliant products have been identified, reworked, returned to supplier, or destroyed and all parties are notified.
- Provide training for the buying and commercial team on the compliance and legal requirements
About you:
- Sound decision making, based on situation analysis and risk assessment
- Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously
- Demonstrates ownership and accountability
- High level of attention to detail
- Highly motivated
- Undergraduate degree (science or engineering) desired but not mandatory if the applicant has the right skills and experience
- Previous retail quality or compliance experience is required
- Passionate about Quality And compliance
- Strong knowledge on general merchandise required, knowledge of consumables would be an added benefit
