About the Role:
The Quality Safeguarding Manager oversees quality assurance and compliance functions and processes for the Headway ABI. As part of this, The Quality Safeguarding Manager undertakes responsibility for tasks related to quality management systems and processes, document control, internal and external audits, and accreditation/contractual requirements, to support the on-going sustainability and viability of the Headway ABI.
Primary Duties:
Ensuring that the compliance and quality systems are in line with relevant standards, regulatory guidelines, state and federal law and the policies/procedures of the organisation.
- Responsible for the Quality and risk management systems to ensure the operational audits are undertaken to maintain relevant accreditations and achieve compliance and continuous improvement with relevant service standards.
- Operationalise effective systems to ensure compliance with Quality and risk management accountability requirements and reporting processes in accordance with funding requirements and organisational policy and procedures, including the oversight of planning data, reports, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Support workplace teams to identify sustainable system development and improvements.
- Manage the Organisations’ Quality and Risk Management database to maximise the efficient collection of statistical reporting requirements consistently.
- Follow allocated work plans developed in consultation with the Management Team.
- Provide high level written reports, investigation outcomes and relevant action documents in conjunction with the CEO.
- Implement and maintain effective staff communication which is representative of the Headway ABI
- Design organisation processes to create and update policies and procedures in line with compliance requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of matters relating to the National Quality and Safeguarding Framework that impact disability service providers and NDIS participants.
- Identify hazards and control risks in the workplace; and implement Workplace Health and Safety plans. Coordinate remedial action associated with audit and investigation findings.
- Work with Management Team to streamline and simplify tools, templates, forms, and checklists used in the delivery of programs and services.
About you:
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Knowledge of DHS, NDIS, and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice standards and legislations.
- Experience in record and data management
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint - MUST
- Experience in Document Management control
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think laterally in approaching a problem
- Able to work autonomously, as well as a part of a team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in quality management, governance, risk management and compliance.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing quality, risk and governance principles and practice standards.
- Be highly articulate and possess exemplary critical thinking and communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills and experience in developing initiatives.
Must haves:
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
