About the role
We are currently seeking a Quality Assistant, based at our Portland site. This is a permanent position.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing administrative, reporting and technical support in Quality Assurance functions in the day to day management of the Laboratory operation, reporting through to the Quality Supervisor
- Maintaining and monitor quality reporting systems supporting the operations. Undertake reporting from systems as required
- Supporting the compliance of Health, Safety and Environment management systems, policies and procedures
- Hands on sampling of Grain
About your experience
Candidates will have prior experience in a quality role in an agriculture, food or manufacturing industry. Candidates will also display:
- Understanding of grain quality standards, testing and systems
- Intermediate - advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, databases and systems)
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels
- An Authorised Officer (AO) accreditation will be beneficial
