The Opportunity
To provide leadership and ensure the effective implementation of and compliance to the systems, products, Food Safety and Quality Culture and processes at Noumi.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Lead key pre-requisite programs at site level relating to inventory control.
- Participate in all projects and improvements to the site inventory management system, to ensure ongoing maintenance of traceability and adherence to Noumi’s Positive Release program
- Ensure timely release of finished goods from UHT and Nutritionals Plants at Shepparton is achieved and that issues to permit release are followed up accordingly to facilitate this. Maintain good communication with internal Stakeholders as to finished good statuses throughout the process.
- Liaise with other QA Streams to drive investigation into the root cause of issues which require inventory HOLDS and investigation, whilst also driving decisions on product fate in a timely manner
- Liaise with external test providers as required to ensure results are available in a timely manner to facilitate finished goods release
- Provide training, coaching and leadership relating to areas of responsibility and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other QA functions as required relating to such matters as (but not exclusively) audit programs, investigations, document control, hygiene & GMP, laboratory activities and non-conformances.
- Maintain and monitor existing systems to facilitate and support internal and external needs as well as identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies, costs and accuracy.
What you’ll bring
- Knowledge relating to food science and inventory management systems
- High level of knowledge with quality and manufacturing systems
- Packaging, Milk and/or Powders experience preferred
- Experience and capability to drive a food safety culture and continuous quality improvements
- Experience at mentoring and developing of team members to work autonomously
- Ability to work autonomously, to a high standard within agreed timeframes and appropriately prioritise competing demands
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be responsive to organizational contingencies as they arise.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
