About the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing our Quality Assurance activities to ensure that our products meet quality specifications and all legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and coach the QA team in company policies and procedures and QA related requirements.
- Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of the labelling systems and other QA systems.
- Ensure all departmental auditing requirements on CCPs and QCP?s are undertaken, recorded and reported as per the defined timelines.
- Ensure all tasks associated with process auditing, GMP auditing and internal auditing is completed in accordance with company requirements and timeframes.
- Collect, analyse and document information associated with retention samples and various testing requirements.
- Carry out training, coaching, guidance, support and assessing of production colleagues on QA requirements such as CCP, QCP and GMP.
- Participate in all tasks associated with organoleptic evaluation of finished products.
- Understand, provide response and conduct complaint investigations as per company standards.
What We Look For:
- Proven experience in a QA role within a chilled short shelf-life manufacturing environment, preferably with value added raw meat and for national retailers.
- � Tertiary qualification in Food Science or equivalent.
- Must have sound knowledge of GMP, foreign object and allergen controls and HACCP principles
- Understanding of VITAL principles - training and application highly desirable.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Must be flexible with days and hours worked as demand dictates
