The role:
We are looking for a responsible Quality Assurance Manager to join our team on full-time basis. A successful Quality Assurance Manager will involve developing and implementing Quality Assurance policies, conducting audits, collaborating with departments, training staff, investigating complaints, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of quality management principles, with knowledge of jewellery industry standards being beneficial.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 per annum plus superannuation

Duties & Responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Manager include:
· Developing, implementing, and maintaining company's Quality Management process.
· Enforcing quality control protocols to guarantee jewellery items adhere to predetermined quality benchmarks, encompassing materials, craftsmanship, and visual appeal.
· Regularly scrutinizing jewellery pieces to detect any flaws or irregularities, initiating corrective measures when needed.
· Evaluating diamonds, coloured stones, and pearls to ensure that quality is accurate.
· Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and legal mandates pertinent to jewellery manufacturing and distribution.
· Delivering comprehensive training to team members on quality guidelines, protocols, and methodologies to sustain uniformity in product excellence.
· Raising quality concerns and communicate defects to the Product Development team.
· Maintaining meticulous records of quality control procedures, inspection outcomes, and corrective actions taken to rectify quality concerns.
· Coordinating with procurement and production teams to maintain adequate inventory levels.
· Monitoring customer feedback and grievances regarding product quality, and instituting enhancements based on customer perspectives.
· Collaborating closely with suppliers to verify that materials and components utilized in jewellery fabrication meet quality specifications.
· Identifying avenues for refining processes and executing strategies to augment the efficiency and efficacy of Quality Assurance practices.
· Identifying potential threats to product quality and devising proactive strategies to mitigate such risks.
· Staying updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative techniques in jewellery manufacturing, designing and merchandising.
· Partnering with various departments, including design, production, and sales, to ensure consistency in quality standards across the entire product lifecycle.
Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:
· Proven work experience of at least 8-12 years as a Quality Assurance Manager, or in a similar role.
· Capacity to analyze quality control data and identify areas for improvement
· Aptitude for resolving quality issues and implementing corrective actions
· Effective communication skills to convey quality standards to staff members and collaborate with other departments.
· Capability to lead and motivate a team to achieve quality objectives
· Proficiency in managing documentation and records related to quality control processes.
· Familiarity with jewellery materials, production techniques, and industry regulations
· Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining high product quality standards.
· Ability to address customer concerns and implement improvements based on feedback to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
