We are currently searching for a Quality Assurance Monitor to join our Osborne Park team on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position will work closely with the production supervisors to ensure conformance to company standards and client specifications. The successful candidate must enforce quality standards and perform daily checks of finished products (including packaging) and provide immediate feedback to the production and quality teams. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the following duties which include but are not limited to:
- Conducting daily pre-operation hygiene checks
- Preforming daily quality (including chemical lean tests) and GMP checks
- Conducting in process inspections at all stages of production to ensure compliance with AUSMEAT requirements.
- Ensuring GMP, HACCP, WQA, SQF and AUSMEAT standards are maintained, and compliance requirements adhered to within the factory.
- Conducting internal audits to ensure food and quality safety management systems are effective.
- Reporting any food safety hazards and non-quality conformances to managers
- Assisting in training of factory staff in compliance with various regulatory and client requirements
- Data entry and filling of QA records
- Ad hoc tasks as directed by the QA Manager/Supervisors
JOB CRITERIA
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Experience working in the meat processing industry
- A thorough understanding of the principles of Quality Assurance monitoring
- Demonstrated experience working well in teams
- The ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail
- A good understanding of English and basic Mathematics
- Basic computer and Microsoft Excel experience for data entry and reporting
