We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our team located in Brendale, QLD. You will be part of an energetic team with a customer geared culture that is part of a global premium brand that invests time and resources in its people.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001 management system and implement ongoing improvements where necessary.
- Ensure that all products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to prevent nonconforming and/or unauthorised products from shipping to customers.
- Create and execute quality plans, inspection and test plans, test cases, and test scripts specific to plastic pipes and fabrication.
- Provide training and guidance to fabrication staff on quality standards and procedures.
- Continuously improve QA processes and practices specific to plastic pipe systems and fabrications.
- Ensure inspection tools are in good condition and properly calibrated by maintaining an effective calibration program.
- Document and report testing outcomes and quality metrics.
- Analyse and interpret quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, including preparation of statistical evaluations
- Ensure adherence to work health and safety guidelines and offer suggestions to improve workplace safety.
About you:
- 3 years minimum experience in a QA-related field.
- Tertiary qualification in Quality Assurance or related fields.
- Previous working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of plastic pipe products and associated fabrication services, including Electrofusion, Butt Fusion, Socket Fusion, and Extrusion welding.
- In-depth understanding of plastic pipe industry standards and guidelines.
- Good customer focus.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Willing to do occasional interstate travel.
