The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will support production by ensuring that manufactured and imported products meet the required quality standards. This will include conducting tests, audits, and inspections to verify that products comply with company specifications and regulatory requirements. By maintaining high-quality standards, this position helps ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to safety and legal guidelines. The individual in this role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the company's products and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Conducting visual, functional, and dimensional testing on plastic, metal, and assembled parts on a daily basis.
- Recording data in statistical Quality Control (SQC) software and provide SQCpak support to production employees.
- Testing raw materials, components, and finished goods as required in the quality specifications.
- Providing appropriate training to ensure all operations personnel are versed in quality procedures.
- Investigating non-conformance register items (NCRs) and customer complaints as required.
- Coordinating and conducting gauge calibrations.
- Supporting the process and quality leads to managing the QC holds to ensure the timely disposition of the stock.
- Ensuring all activities are conducted safely, in compliance with legal requirements, company policies, ISO, and Food Safety Certification standards
About You
- Qualification in quality inspection or similar
- At least two years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is highly desirable.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer operations, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Having a "Train the Trainer" certificate is highly desirable.
- HACCP experience is highly advantageous.
