What you'll do
- Monitor and assess Fruit & Veg lines delivered to the distribution centre (DC) validating the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team
- Follow the Banana ripening process to out turn the optimum quality and colour stage for our stores and customers.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience
- Deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI's
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment ideally in Quality Assurance
- Farming / Retail Fruit & Veg / Post Harvest / Agronomy and/or Agriculture experience
- Firm understanding of supermarket retailing and commercial processes
- Fosters a team environment where people can challenge current practices
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills in MS or Google Suites
- Passion for retail & team first customer first mindset
- Ability to work in a cold environment, usually between 2-13 degrees
