Quality Control Officer | Fruit & Veg | Perth 

  • Onsite full-time permanent role

  • Perth Regional Distribution Centre in Kewdale

  • Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday 4 am - 12:30 pm

What you’ll do

  • Monitor and assess Fruit & Veg lines delivered to the distribution centre (DC) validating the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team 
  • Follow the Banana ripening process to out turn the optimum quality and colour stage for our stores and customers.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience
  • Deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI’s

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment ideally in Quality Assurance
  • Farming / Retail fruit & veg / Post Harvest / Agronomy and/or Agriculture experience
  • Firm understanding of supermarket retailing and commercial processes
  • Fosters a team environment where people can challenge current practices
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills in MS or Google Suites
  • Passion for retail & team first customer first mindset 
  • Ability to work in a cold environment, usually between 2-13 degrees
