The Opportunity
As our new Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Resolving product quality issues raised by our customers.
- Managing product quality planning and control process based on customer’s specifications and requirements (APQP, PPAP).
- Prepare and update all necessary quality reports as required by customers.
- Train and guide QC team in identifying and developing problem solving methodologies to resolve quality issues.
- Assist in new product development activities to avoid quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain product quality documentation based on customers' requirements AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949 specifications.
- Develop product quality processes based on standards.
- Support with customer audits when on site.
- Work with Quality Engineering team to improve quality management system based on audit results.
- Address customer issues in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work alongside production and engineering managers to assess existing processes for performance. risk and opportunities.
- Support PWR’s Non Conformance Reporting (NCR) process.
- Analyse and improve enterprise wide processes adhering to AS9100, ISO NADCAP, ITAR.
Your Skills and Experience
- Min of 3 years’ experience as Quality Supervisor or Quality Engineer
- Ideally you will have a formal Engineering Qualification however this is a not a requirement of the role.
- Ideally you will also have a comprehensive understanding of quality management systems AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949 and Knowledge of Problem solving, Root Cause Analysis
- Comprehensive APQP process knowledge and experience working with CAD and AutoCAD.
- Competent in 6 Sigma methodologies
- Strong understanding of technical documentation
- Ability to perform internal process Audits (desirable)
- Ability to train staff
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to project manage
