Elderbloom Community Care Centres is a not for profit organisation situated in the northern suburbs and we offer a range of high quality aged care accommodation and support services. We are currently recruiting for a Quality, Governance & Risk Manager. This is a key leadership role providing crucial leadership, strategic direction and management of Elderbloom’s quality, safety, governance and risk approach. Ensuring Elderbloom attains and maintains relevant licenses, accreditation and legislative and regulatory compliance.
The vital senior leadership role will report into the CEO and main duties will include:
- Oversee and ensure governance, compliance, risk and quality management and health and safety (OHS) for all of Elderbloom Community Care Centres
- Continuous improvement measures by identifying, monitoring and actioning activities to improve quality indicators.
- Develop, implement and maintain Quality and compliance processes, systems, and policies in order to ensure:
- Elderbloom’s policies and procedures are developed, implemented and reviewed in line with contemporary best practice, professional standards, legislation and regulation requirements
- Developing and overseeing routine clinical audits, reports and recommendations
- Supporting Care Managers with operational risk management, continuous improvement and auditing requirements
- Lead the development, documentation and implementation of Elderbloom’s quality management systems, internal auditing systems
- Meet reporting responsibilities for Governance meetings and Board reports
- Develop and implement annual training needs analysis.
Essential criteria includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
- Minimum 5 years in a Quality Manager role
- Strong and demonstrated experience working in clinical leadership, senior management and quality/risk management roles in Aged Care
- Demonstrated and senior leadership experience in the development and delivery of care services
- Proven experience with quality and clinical monitoring and reporting
- Excellent working knowledge of clinical, risk management and principles and processes
- Strong experience and understanding of internal and external audit functions
- Highly developed written communication, negotiation and research skills including high standard policy and documentation writing.
- Current registration with APRHA.
- Proof of current flu vaccination status
- Proof of current COVID vaccination status
- Agreement to undergo Criminal Clearance Check.
