Job Description

After a period of significant change, now is a great time to join EACH to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to shape how we ensure high quality and safe care at EACH into the future.

The Quality Improvement and Risk Manager is responsible for supporting a positive Quality Improvement culture, underpinned by effective Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Risk Management Frameworks.  There are the usual responsibilities that you would expect such as ensuring we meet our requirements across various accreditations, standards and regulatory compliance, and are effectively managing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement (amongst other things!). 

However, the really exciting stuff is the opportunity to work closely and collaboratively with others such as our Clinical Governance Director, Health Information and Governance Manager, Operational Directors, and Service Design Managers to shape how we manage Quality Improvement and Risk into the future.  We are looking to you to drive a group effort across the operational areas at EACH, ensuring we work with ops to align priorities.

Leading a team of 5 motivated individuals, this role forms part of EACH’s Organisational Enablement (OE) Directorate (this includes HR, Finance, IT, Infrastructure, the National Access and Intake Service, Org Development and Culture and obviously QI&R) and is a valued member of the OE Leadership team. Who we are looking for 
The ideal person for this role is highly collaborative, can see the bigger picture as well as work to the details. They are pragmatic, can effectively prioritise and can GSD - get 'stuff' done. You will be able to lead a team and ensure that team is working across EACH as partners - no silos here. We have a big vision and there's lots to do, so you need to be able to work strategically but also roll up your sleeves and get into the detail as well. 

The position requires at least 5 years of experience in a similar role to hit the ground running, relevant and demonstrated tertiary qualifications, understanding of clinical governance principles and Risk management concepts, and knowledge of accreditation standards in the health sector.
