Key Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures to meet BRC accreditation and Food Safety standards.
- Monitor and improve the quality of products through rigorous testing and analysis.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and quality issues promptly.
- Identify areas for WH&S and Quality process optimisation and efficiency in the site operations.
- Assist the site to ensure compliance with overarching company policies, WH&S regulations, Quality and Food Safety standards such as BRC, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate and collaborate with the Site leadership team to develop and lead a safety-first culture.
- Assist the site leadership team with the planning, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and continual improvement of WH&S requirements and initiatives.
- Facilitate and participate in WH&S risk management activities to identify and assess potential hazards, and establish suitable preventative controls, including WH&S policies, procedures and practices.
- Work with the site leadership team to investigate incidents and injuries, as well as coordinate the site’s injury management process.
- Assist with the sourcing &/or provision of WH&S training and awareness programs for employees.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager and SMYA ANZ WHS Manager to ensure WH&S compliance and reporting.
- Monitor the progress of corrective actions and verify their effectiveness in preventing recurrence.
- Prepare and submit monthly &/or quarterly WH&S and quality reports to the Site Manager, and for Senior Managers as required.
- Lead investigations into non-conformances to determine root causes and contributing factors and identify immediate corrective actions and long-term preventive measures.
Your experience will include:
- Proven experience in safety and quality leadership role – beverage or food industry experience highly desired
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and BRC standards and regulations
- Experience in the implementation and continual improvement of WH&S compliance and standards
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication, teamwork and leadership skills
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
