Position Overview: Seeking a data-driven Senior Logistics Manager to join the AU Downstream Supply Chain team. This role is focused on pioneering change and driving innovation in network planning and logistics optimisation for customers across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Planning and Customer Order Allocation:
Partner with the Operations Research team to develop and apply algorithmic solutions for efficient shipping networks.
Handle order allocation strategies, considering factors like meal swapping, logistic costs, and service constraints.
Small Team Management:
Lead a team of agile, high-performers, overseeing daily network operations, critical incident resolution, and strategic business priorities.
Holiday and Peak Management Strategies:
Develop and deliver plans for managing the network during holidays to minimize customer impact while maintaining operational efficiency.
Innovative Demand Steering:
Manage and influence customer demand to mitigate operational constraints.
Integrate complex data sets into an automated, hands-off solution balancing customer impact with supply chain efficiency.
Collaborative Development and Operational Excellence:
Work with stakeholder teams to implement new Supply Chain Optimisation solutions.
Lead initiatives for network enhancement simulations, automate demand management processes, and support the development of Logistics tools and services.
Qualifications and Skills:
Scientific or Engineering Bachelor's degree; Project Management certification is a plus.
At least three years of experience in supply chain optimisation, demonstrating innovation and process improvement.
Proficiency in data analytics and project management.
Ability to develop relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
Tech-savvy approach to understanding evolving industry practices.
Entrepreneurial mindset, results-oriented, and hands-on mentality.
Full Australian Driver’s License.
Able to travel domestically (AU/NZ) for short periods (on average, one trip per month).
