My client is a cost management firm who have numerous offices in various states within Australia. They have a range of services they offer primarily to the Mining and Energy, Infrastructure sectors They have passionate leadership and some blue-chip clients in their portfolio. They have a Quantity Surveyor position available for 6 months to 2 years + project in a FIFO role to regional WA.
YOUR NEW ROLE:
You will undertake the following duties:
- Write and amend cost reports
- Interpret construction drawings
- Price estimates and cost plans
- Measure quantities for variations
- Do take-offs
- Liaise with clients
- Provide cost advisory
- Assist with feasibility studies
ARE YOU A FIT?

- A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Experience providing cost management and estimation services to the Infrastructure or Mining & Resources sector
- First Principles Estimation experience
- Strong estimating skills
- Ideally experience working in a PQS cost management firm
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong leadership skills
- High level numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Strong IT Skills in MS Office, Excel, Project, Word
- Strong organisational skills – with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
- An ability to work well with others and build positive and friendly working relationship with clients and across the team
- A current AIQS/RICS membership or working towards achieving it (desirable but not essential)
