With their Infrastructure portfolio growing in South Australia and Victoria, they are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join us and help drive our ongoing expansionThe RoleThey are seeking an experienced intermediate Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in the infrastructure sector, particularly in cost planning and pre/post contract activities. This role involves working on projects across various sectors of the built environment industry.As an intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will have a dynamic, diverse, and demanding role. You will balance autonomy with teamwork, collaborating closely with a team that is advancing our varied project pipeline. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in various aspects of Quantity Surveying, along with demonstrated expertise in the following areas:Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- 3-5 years post-qualification experience in the infrastructure sector/civil engineering
- Preferably with water, and utilities background
- Relevant undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or Construction Management
- Ability to provide assistance to the Quantity Surveying team for Pre-Contract works including:
- Measurement of quantities
- Preparation of cost plans and estimates cost plans through the life cycle of the project
- Value Management
- Cashflow preparation
- Bills of Quantities
- Ability to provide assistance to the Quantity Surveying team for Post Contract / Contract Administration works including:
- Measurement and assessment of variations
- Preparation of progress claims
- Preparation of post contract certificates including variation resolution
- Cashflow management
- Bank reports
- Preparation of tax depreciation schedules
- Project cost analysis and input into preparation of cost data bases
- Quality Assurance requirements including documentation and assistance with internal audit requirements
- Experience with CostX (preferred)
- Experience with a CRM system (preferred)
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to thrive under pressure and meet multiple, conflicting deadlines in a calm professional manner
- Strong analytical skills and proactive problem solver with the ability to work both autonomously and part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Actively demonstrate behaviours consistent with DCWC’s values at all times
- Willingness to perform other duties including administrative tasks within the office
- Perform other duties as reasonably expected in the role of Quantity Surveyor
