Position Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of our projects. You will work closely with project teams to estimate costs, prepare tender documents, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct accurate cost estimations for construction projects, including materials, labour, and other expenses, to support project planning and budgeting.
- Monitor project budgets throughout the construction phase, tracking expenditures and identifying potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with the tendering team to ensure that BOQs accurately reflect project requirements and specifications, enabling competitive and comprehensive bids.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies. Administer contracts, manage variations, and resolve contractual disputes as needed.
- Prepare regular reports on project costs, forecasts, and variances, providing stakeholders with timely and accurate information to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
