Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Gold Coast, QLD

Type: Full-Time

Flexibility to work during the day, evening, or weekends if necessary. 

Salary: $180,000 + Super

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Lead financial management processes, including cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting, to drive financial efficiency and effectiveness for facade construction projects.
• Apply modern construction methods tailored to facade engineering, such as incorporating sustainable and innovative materials and techniques, to enhance project execution and sustainability.
• Develop and implement software solutions that are specifically designed to streamline facade construction operations, boost productivity, and improve the accuracy of cost reporting and estimation systems.
• Oversee complex facade project deliveries, adopting a collaborative approach that ensures success from the initial concept through to completion, while maintaining high standards of design and construction integrity.
• Pioneer new business opportunities within the facade construction industry by exploring alternative materials, innovative design solutions, and strategic partnerships that align with ABS Facade’s mission and values.
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, ensuring clear communication and alignment between clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations.

Qualification & Experience requirements:

•  Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a track record in leading roles, preferably with experience in the facade construction sector.
•  Demonstrated ability in cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting in construction projects.
• Experience leveraging technology, including app and software development, to optimize construction processes and operational efficiency.
• For ABS Facade, translating Jason's hands-on experience with modern methods of construction, especially in modular housing and solar PV projects, to their context would focus on how these skills can be adapted and utilized in facade construction and design. Here's how it could be phrased:
• Expertise in advanced construction techniques, particularly in modular building and renewable energy, positions for innovation in facade engineering, focusing on sustainability, aesthetics, and efficiency.
