Hanson is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operators to join the team at our Kilmore Quarry and Kilmore East Quarry in VIC, approx. 1 hour drive North of Melbourne CBD.
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will:
- Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
- Operate a heavy vehicle (water cart/front end loader/dump truck/skid steer). If no ticket, Hanson will provide training and certification to get ticket for the right candidate
- Perform general labour activities including cleaning, greasing and shoveling
This role is a great fit for you if you have:
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Total commitment to risk management and OH&S
- A positive work ethic and ability to work within Hanson values and philosophies
- Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump truck ticket is advantageous
- Experience in either Quarrying or Mining
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
What we offer:
- $31.44 - $33.03 p/hour pending experience & qualifications, plus penalty rates, plus super
- Shift times generally 6:00am - 4:00/4:30pm Monday - Friday as well as rostered Saturday shifts
