About the role

Learn the business of radiation management in an agile, fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities to get involved. Support an experienced, geographically diverse team to license and deploy PhotonAssay™ units around the world, implement the management systems which ensure company-wide safety and compliance and deliver continuous improvement initiatives. A motivated person will acquire a unique and desirable skill set incorporating aspects of radiation regulatory compliance, radiation protection, quality management, nuclear physics and technical writing.

What you will do

• Develop training materials and procedures to ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Perform audits and support regional auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and document compliance activities.
• Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders on safety and compliance matters.
• Investigate incidents and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and relevant industry bodies.
• Work with customers and regulators to ensure that PhotonAssay™ systems can be used in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Support the development and maintenance of the Chrysos Learning Management System.
• Support the development of a strong workplace health and safety culture.
• Communicate and liaise with customers to ensure excellence in customer service.
• Contribute to a culture that values collaboration, technical excellence, and ongoing staff learning and development.

Who you are

Essential

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant STEM subject, e.g., physics or engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong, demonstrated technical writing, communication and organisational skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with an interdisciplinary, geographically diverse team
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship (or equivalent working rights)

Desirable

• Demonstrated capability in quality, safety, or regulatory assurance in a highly regulated industry
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders
• Understanding of radiation physics, the principles of radiation protection or radiation regulatory frameworks
• Understanding of management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
