An exciting opportunity exists for Radiographers to join our Talent Pool and deliver Medical Imaging services as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health, in accordance with the goals, policies and requirements of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service are seeking expressions of interest for Radiographers to join our team. The Talent Pool will be used to fill casual and Fixed term temporary full time and part time vacancies as they arise within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.
The Medical Imaging Service provides a comprehensive Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology service. This position is a key senior clinical team member who is required to perform complex imaging examinations, and independently manage the complexities and demands of the Medical Imaging service, which is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The Medical Imaging Service operates a one service/multi-campus model with the SCUH being the major imaging service. Medical Imaging is also provided at Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital and Caloundra Hospital.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in delivering Medical Imaging services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols.
- Apply clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
- Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work environment.
