- Hospital experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, PET scans, mammography, and sonography
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate diagnostic evaluation for patients
- Review images for quality and clarity, ensuring all necessary anatomical structures are captured
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in operating X-ray machines and other imaging equipment
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Ability to perform PET scans, mammography, sonography, and other specialized imaging techniques
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate positioning of patients and capture of necessary images
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have

Requirements
- Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
