Rail Booking Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Rail Services Coordinator to join our Intermodal and Specialised Operations team on a permanent basis in Regency Park, Adelaide. About the role: As the Rail Services Coordinator, you will manage rail linehaul movements through Pacific National and Aurizon (Rail Linehaul Operators) ensuring permanent bookings are maintained and coordinate casual bookings to meet customer demand. Working closely with the Operations and Fleet Team to coordinate efficient freight movement you will communicate with stakeholders effectively regarding Rail, Wharf and Harbour consignments/movements and ensure administrative compliance for all bookings.

Key Responsibilities:Coordinate online freight import requests, updates on booking system for container weights for manifesting. Enter drivers' daily runs sheets in log checker, report any non-conformances to compliance supervisor. Allocate loads from pickup data and online freight booking system to meet customer delivery parameters or transit schedule.

Enter online and emailed pickups requests into fleet system. Monitor and manage bookings and waiver requests in Freight Web to avoid late cancellation or ancillary charges. Manage our AP bookings to minimise the risk of two strike policy and complete cargo link when required.

Liaise with operations team re booking issues and assist with timely resolutions. Communicate daily with Express Parcels (WA & NT) in relation to outbound and inbound requirements. Work closely with Fleet controller daily to monitor inbound freight picked ups from Pacific National depot to avoid storage charges and ensure early cut-off containers are lodged in time.

Liaise with Yard Supervisor throughout the day with updates. Complete final checks in Freight Web before end of shift each day to ensure we have all containers lodged and any cancellations for the next day/service are completed on time to avoid ancillary charges.
