The Role
An exciting opportunity is available in the role of Rail Design Engineer within Infrastructure Planning and Lands Services (IP&LS) division. The Rail Design Engineer contributes to the development of concepts and ideas for major improvements, primarily for the suburban rail system in Perth and for passenger rail systems beyond the metropolitan area, principally in relation to railway permanent way designs.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for applicants who possess a Degree in Civil Engineering that is acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia and who can demonstrate engineering experience in a railway environment. You must have sound understanding of permanent way design and good experience in applying Australian design standards and codes in producing the permanent way designs.
Pool
This is one permanent full time position available for immediate filling. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for twelve (12) months from which permanent and fixed term appointments may be made.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
