The Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) team works as part of the Support Engineering function within Airbus Australia Pacific, providing support to the business for the estimation, prevention and management of life-cycle engineering uncertainty and item reliability risk through investigation, data analysis and reporting.
About the role
As a RAM Analyst, you will assist RAM Engineers in the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Program and provide data analysis. The RAM Analyst will be required to provide subject matter expertise on RAM matters and produce a series of products and services to both internal and external customers.
This position is also responsible for Logistics Resource Modelling (LRM Analyst) that involves building and maintaining an enduring integrated spares optimisation model utilising OPUS10 software to monitor and take proactive action to identify life of type buys.
This role is accountable to the Team Lead RAM for the execution, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Reliability Program.
Some of your day to day tasks would include:
- Monitoring, identifying and prioritising reliability, availability and maintainability issues
- Improving the reliability program through process reviews
- Developing systems for the storage and communication of RAM information across the Programs
- Analysing performance of reliability and developing tools to support optimisation opportunities
- Building strong relationships within the Company and externally.

The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or related Technical Trade Training
- Experience with the application of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) would be well regarded but is not mandatory
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Sufficient technical vocabulary to allow correct interpretation and processing of technical information
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge and experience in Python scripting would be an advantage
