Access theAs Principal Analyst, you will specifically:
- Initiate significant and complex research and analysis on issues affecting current and future skills needs, workforce development, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in Queensland, or other topics as requested.
- Review, translate and contextualise applied research, including statistical data into accessible formats and messaging for multiple audiences across a range of platforms, and linking key findings to actual or potential policy.
- Communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner to provide highlevel expert advice to senior management and the responsible Minister through briefings, policy papers, reports, Cabinet submissions and presentations.
- Assess the information needs of the department to build and support the evidence base to evaluate current and future policy, programs, and funded activity.
- Build and maintain relationships within the department and through external bodies such as national working groups. This includes monitoring relevant research and activity across academic, practitioner, and government forums.
- Provide development and mentoring to other team members across the rand of key work areas to support both quality improvement and individual capability.
