To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a R&D Associate Scientist to join our ANZ Snacks teams. Your role will be To develop new products and optimise existing products in terms of performance, quality and cost - aligned with business objectives and timings. While also supporting the PD team members as required during development of new products.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned projects through the business from initial idea through to implementation working with multi-disciplinary project teams in accordance with agreed objectives as detailed in the kick-off and through the development of project timelines
  • Provide support to PD team members on key projects as required e.g. technical documentation, artwork, trial support
  • Work with the R & D Cross-Functional team in consumer research, analytical support, seasoning development and packaging development to support new developments and projects
  • Maintain a close working relationship between the key internal customers - Marketing, Commercialisation & Supply Chain/Operations
  • Maintain raw materials, product and process specifications for assigned brands and/or manufacturing platforms
  • Manage shelf-life trials as required within the business on your projects
  • Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of our people.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Sc (Food Science) or similar
  • Candidate with minimum 1 - 2 years' experience in an R & D related environment within the Food Industry
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication and project management skills
  • Computer literate, innovator, self-motivated, numerate with attention to detail
